Spinnerbaits
Spinnerbaits are capable of attracting and catching bass in a very unique way than other lures. Their physical appearance doesn’t show that they are effective lures because they don’t look natural. However, the effectiveness of spinnerbaits is superb. They have been used for years to catch a lot of bass with the use of blades that flash and affect the lateral line’s sensitivity.
Spinnerbait’s blades produce a lot of vibrations and these vibrations signal the bass, which in turn get attracted. A bass will think it’s a distressed minnow that is in action. Vibrations are detected with the help of the lateral line on the fish’s body.
Three different spinnerbaits exist. They are the Indiana blade, Colorado blade and Willow blade. These three spinnerbaits spin and produce vibrations in water in similar ways. The difference between them is their shapes that determine the degree of vibration created by them as well as their traveling speed in water. All these spinnerbaits have individual strengths and weaknesses that either make them a better choice or make them as worst choice in certain situations or conditions.

The key difference between the two lures is that buzzbaits have propeller blades located above the long arms. On the other hand, spinnerbaits have a spoon located above the long arm. The propeller blades on a buzzbait can cause splashes and commotion when retrieving the lure from water, and this will alert and attract the bass that are around. Buzzbaits can be used if there is a need to cover a very wide area of water fast. This is possible because buzzbaits don’t get snagged on cast into water that is densely covered. With buzzbaits, you can catch bass in a lake successfully. You can also use them when the water is calm because it is easy for bass to notice the disruption at the surface of the water.
Spinnerbaits produce outstanding results and anglers can use spinnerbaits for bass fishing throughout the year. They can be retrieved in so many ways and used in shallow cover, cloudy or windy days when topwater lures like buzzbaits can’t be used. Spinnerbaits can also be used on bright days. The motion of spinnerbaits is termed “smooth flowing” and they have one or more blades that create a lot of vibrations. Generally, spinnerbaits are used at a medium to slow retrieve from water. An angler can use underhand casting for buzzbaits and spinnerbaits if he wants lesser noise as the lure moves into the water. You can choose chartreuse and Florida white spinnerbaits as your colors for bash fishing during the day.
Generally, the key difference between buzzbaits and spinnerbaits is that buzzbaits are designed to be used as topwater bait during summer while spinnerbaits are designed to be used as bait for various water depths and all seasons (both summer and winter).
